One of the main things we will do at the Midway Gifted Community is to hold events that bring together GT families and students from across the district. These events may include:
- Speakers who can help parents learn more about their gifted children;
- Social events designed to build friendships with gifted students from other campuses; and
- Special field trip experiences and other hands-on activities.
Our group will also work closely with the district to support Midway’s GT events, especially those aimed at new GT families and presentation of student work at the end of each semester.
If you’re interested in helping plan an event or have an idea about a fun field trip or event experience, please contact our board and officers – we would welcome your involvement!
Membership Meetings
In addition to events planned for families and GT students, our full membership meets twice per year: once in the first 45 days of the school year in the fall semester, and again in April. Our board of directors is elected at the April meeting for the coming membership year, which starts on June 1.
